Join Our Team

Portable podcasting gear, including microphone, digital recorder, over-ear headphones, and cables.

Do you research rhetorics in Africa, Asia, The Middle East, Central and South America, Eastern Europe, or the Pacific islands? If so, consider joining us! We especially want to invite nonwhite, nonwestern, and Indigenous scholars to join our team.

All team members–regardless of role–will actively shape the vision of the podcast. Team members typically spend between 1 hour and 10 hours per month working on the podcast. All positions are currently unpaid, but we plan to apply for grants to fund future endeavours. In the meantime, we can offer you a rich community of like-minded scholars and, of course, another line on your CV.

There are many ways to get involved with the podcast, including:

  • hosting
  • interviewing
  • post-production
  • transcription
  • web design
  • artwork
  • communications
  • grant writing
  • social media

The first few episodes are hosted by José and Collin. But these roles are fluid, and we welcome new hosts moving forward. So find a role that aligns with your interests and expertise, and email us at globalrhetorics [at] gmail [dot] com. Or DM us on Twitter [at] GlobalRhet.

We look forward to hearing from–and working with–you soon!
